The BlackBerry company will always advice that you keep your BBM up to date to enjoy benefits of the new feature.
The moment new update is available, the current/previous one will be removed from the appworld/bbworld. The implication is that you can’t go back to your old version that you are used to once updated/upgraded.
REVIEW ON BBM8
THE NEW BBM8 have only added channel like yahoo messenger chatroom to what the users have seen on bbm7 and improved video chat (only via wifi).
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
Despite still working on some high processor and ram devices like bold5,6 and touch2 (its likely going to enlarge its coast in them before giving them problem).
Its still of higher rate of disappointment for the BB users that opted for BBM8 as it drastically transformed their devices into freezers or loopers.
While some of the users already tried flashing/wiping their phones, some have deleted it times without number so they can have their proper bbm back. ALAS! They all proved my statement right as they still either landed in the old bbm5 or the same draggy bbm8.
EASY, LASTING, AND FINAL SOLUTION
If you haven’t upgraded to bbm8, its advisable you don’t.
If you have upgraded to the draggy bbm8 here is the simple way of escaping from it.
STEP 1: its very very important to first identify the os version of your phone.
OS VERSION 5:
goto OPTIONS and select ABOUT… on the 3rd line “v5.x.x.x (platform x.x.x)
Os ver 6,7, or 7.1:
from home screen, type ABOUT DEVICE VERSIONS
If it brings options icon, click on it. If it brings device icon, click on it til u get to the device version screen.
On the 3rd line: v6.x.x.x (bundle xxx, platform x.x.x)
STEP 2: DELETE BBM8
on os v5:
goto OPTIONS>APPLICATIONS now scroll to the application to be deleted and RESTART (either remove ba3 or follow the prompt)
On os v6,7, and 7.1
Type APPLICATION MANAGEMENT from home screen and follow to get their
Delete the bbm8 and restart.
FINAL STEP: after your phone has com back on.
